½ c shortening ¾ cup sugar
2 eggs ¾ cup flour, sifted
¼ t baking powder ¼ t salt
2 T cocoa 1 t vanilla
½ cup nuts, chopped 12 large marshmallows
Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time.
Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
Add vanilla and chopped nuts.
Pour into a 12x8 pan which has been greased and floured.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
Cover the top of baked bars with 12 marshmallows or use small ones enough to cover.
Return to oven for 3 minutes.
Spread evenly and cool.
