Basil Turkey Burgers (from Taste of Home's Easy Grilling)

(We don't have a grill so I just cook it in the frying pan on the stove. Great dunked in heinz 57 or steak sauce. If all you have is the dry basil, that can be pretty strong, so use sparingly) Hope you like it as much as we do! <3

1/4 C. Mayonnaise
2 TBSP Minced fresh basil, divided
1/4 C. Milk
2 TBSP Finely chopped onion
1 TBSP Dry bread crumbs
1/8 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. Pepper
12 oz. Ground turkey


In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and 1 TBSP Basil. Cover and refrigerate until serving

Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting the grill.

In a bowl, combine the milk, onion, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and remaining basil. Crumble turkey over the mixture and mix well. Shape into four patties. Grill, covered, over indirect medium heat for 5-6 minutes on each side or until meat is no longer pink and a thermometer reads 165 o . Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato and the basil mayonnaise. Yields 4 burgers
