Sweet Tea

I'm a major sweet tea-aholic. This helps stifle my urges to hit the fast food drive-throughs for my favorite beverage.

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
Serves: 2 quarts


4 cups water
8 tea bags (decaf. works just fine)
3/4 cup of sugar
4 cups cold water


Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Remove pan from heat and add 8 tea bags. Leave in for 3 minutes and then remove. Do not squeeze tea bags, as doing so will make your tea bitter!

In the meantime, add sugar to beverage container.

Pour hot tea into container. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Pour cold water into container and stir again.

Let cool to room temperature and enjoy over ice!
