Chocolate Kahlua Cake

This bunt cake is moist, rich and full of booze. Super easy to make, and always a crowd pleaser.

1 Box yellow Duncan Heinz cake mix
1 large box INSTANT chocolate pudding mix
2 T. All purpose flour
4 Eggs
7/8 C. Vegetable oil
3/4 C. Water
1/3 C. Vodka
1/3 C. Kahlua


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cake mix, and pudding mix; sift together. Beat eggs in a small bowl and add to the dry ingredients. Add the remaining wet ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour batter into a greased bunt pan, and bake until a toothpick or sharp knife comes out clean (about 40-45 minutes). Remove from oven and cool completely before removing from cake pan.

Couple tips; do not attempt to make into sheet cake as it will be too moist and will fall, make sure you get the INSTANT pudding or the cake won't set correctly.

Several ways to dress the cake:
1) You can simply sprinkle some powdered sugar over the top
2) Make a frosting out of some of the Kahlua and powdered sugar, and drizzle over the top
3) Drizzle your Kahlua frosting over the powdered sugar for a cool striped effect
4) Leave plain - I kind of prefer this as it can get a little sweet
