Serves: makes about 24 sweet rolls
Dietary guidance: v
-3 dl milk
-1 dl sugar
-1 teaspoon salt
-2 teaspoons ground cardamom
-5 teaspoons/one bag yeast
~9 dl flour
-1 dl margarine (from the bottle)
-Cinnamon (powder, but if possible, not too fine)
Warm the milk (in the microwave oven) to about 42 C.
Mix in with the milk one egg, the sugar, salt, cardamom and some of the flour (into which you have mixed the yeast), and the margarine. Add the rest of the flour and mix the dough. (You can use the bread machine for making the dough)
After the dough has risen, knead the dough so that there are no air bubbles.
Roll dough out to a square. Spread some butter on the dough, and then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll the dough up tightly starting from the longer side of the square. Cut the roll into even (AND NOT TOO BIG) pieces.
"Open" the pieces by pressing the centre of each piece with a handle of a knife so that the centre is pressed down and the sides spread.
Place rolls on a baking sheet, cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
Brush the rolls with beaten egg.
Bake in 225 C for 10-15 min.
Cover the rolls while cooling.
