2 lbs ground beef
2 (6 oz) cans tomato sauce
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 cup chopped onion
1 tbsp oregano
1.5 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1.5 tsp packed brown sugar (unpacked)
dash of Spatini
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In bowl add tomato sauce, garlic and onion powder, oregano, brown sugar (sprinkle into bowl to ensure no clumping) and Spatini. Blend well.
In large mixing bowl add 1/3 - 1/2 of the bread crumbs to the ground beef and mix in. Add onions, 1/2 the sauce and eggs. Blend until solid consistency. Add remaining bread crumbs and mix. Pat into loaf pan, or 8x8 baking dish, and cook for 60 minutes.
Drain; cover with remaining sauce and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
