2 tsp* raw cacao beans (ground) or cacao nibs work too
you can experiment with this amount to see if you like more or less, this is about right for me
2 large cups of mixed fresh or frozen berries
Rice milk (a couple cups, see directions bellow)... can use milk substitute (milk, soy, etc)
honey to taste
Add Cacao beans or nibs to coffee grinder, or blender, and grind them to a somewhat fine powder.
Add powder & frozen berries to blender ... cover them with rice milk. blend.
Add banana and a little more milk (or yogurt) if you like.
Add honey to taste, optional... will balance out the slight bitterness of the cacao.
Blend and enjoy. Makes enough for a big glass, or two smaller glasses.
Sometimes I also add a dash of cinnamon. YUM!
