Chocolate Fondue

3/4 cup whipping cream
1 lb chocolate
2 medium bananas, peeled and sliced thick
1 cup strawberries
1 cup cherries
1 cup pineapple, cut into 1 inch cubes (pat them dry, you'll appreciate why later)
1 cup grapes
1 preparedd pound cake or sponge cake, cut into 1/2 inch cubes


1. Pour cream in the top pan of a double broiler over high heat. Heat for 10 minutes and add the chocolate. Whisk to melt the chocolate. Add more cream for a thinner mixture if desired.
2. To serve, spear fruits or pound cake and dip into hot chocolate mixture with fondue forks.
3. Keep the chocolate fondue over hot water...rewarming may be necessary.
