Cheesey Chili Sauce

This quick and easy recipe makes great nachos for the family, but there are lots of other things you can do with it too!

Ingredients

1 can of Vegetarian Chili (I like Hormel's but it's hard to find)
1 can of Cheez Whiz
1/2 cup to 1 cup of water
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 tsp of picante sauce (optional)

Method

Heat the chili until it's hot enough to melt the cheese, then add the Cheez Whiz. Stir until all the cheese is melted. Add water until the desired consistency is reached - the mixture should pour off a spoon easily, but should not be runny (depending on the chili you used, you may not need to add water at all). Stir in the taco seasoning and picante sauce.

Serving ideas:
Pour over some tortilla chips for some great nachos (10-12 servings)!
Spice up your tacos or burritos with a spoonful of sauce!
Makes great quesadillas!

Once the sauce has cooled, another great use for this recipe is to mix 2/3 cup of the sauce with 1/3 cup of sour cream. This makes a really tasty dip that is perfect for entertaining! Also, for a gourmet hamburger at home, try using some of the dip as a condiment!
