Mama Go's Spaghetti

Submitted by:
Sweet and meaty spaghetti sauce that hits the spot.

Serves: 4

Preparation time:
Cooking time:

1 jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 lb. ground meat (turkey or beef)
2-3 polish sausages, chunks
1/2 white onion, diced
1-3 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 a container of Jufran Banana sauce
2 medium cloves garlic
1/3 teaspoon of pepper

1. Pour the sauce into a sauce pan, and heat on high until it starts boiling. It should take about 5-10 mins.
2. Cook about 1/2 lb. of ground beef/turkey/meat on a separate pan with some minced garlic, and cook until it is done. It should take about 5-10 mins on medium to high heat.
3. While the sauce is heating, dice up 1/4 or 1/2 of an onion, depending on what size and amount you like.
4. Put in the onions into the sauce while it's heating up.
5. Add sugar to the sauce, about 1 tablespoon (more if you like).
6. If you can find the "Jufran Banana Sauce" in an asian supermarket, put in about 1/4 to 1-2 of the bottle in, if not, put more sugar in the spaghetti sauce. This is the sauce that makes the whole thing 'sweet.' But adding more sugar should be fine too.
7. Once your sauce begins to boil (bubble), toss in the cooked ground beef, and put the temperature down to a simmer. Let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. You can be creative with your ingredients. You can add sliced hot dogs (previously boiled to shorten cooking the sauce time), mushrooms, or other seasonings into the sauce if you feel like it's not enough to fill you up or flavorful enough.
9. Boil some water. Once it boils, put your pasta in to cook. Once it looks like it's to your liking (soft/chewy), get a strainer and over the sink pour the water and pasta into the strainer. Wash with cold water so the pasta doesn't stick to each other.
10. Don't forget to turn off the stove once you're done, and it should be ready to serve. You can taste test or smell test the sauce if you need to test it at all.
