Dietary guidance: v
1 1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp NaCl
1/8 tsp cayenne
2 tsp almond extract
1/4 cup butter, room temp
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks
1/4 cup chopped almonds
~oven to 350
~mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt and cayenne together.
~beat in eggs, vanilla and butter.
~fold in berries chocolate and nuts.
~with floured hands, divide the dough and shape into log on greased baking sheet. flatten the log. repead with rest of dough.
~bake for 25 mins
~allow to cool, reduce oven to 325.
~cut logs into 1" strips widthwise. lay cookies on their side and bake for 10 more mins.
