Spanish Rice

1/8 cup chopped onion
2 cloves smashed garlic
1/8 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
16 oz water
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup rice


Sauté onions, garlic, and bell pepper with olive oil. Add about ¼ cup water and cover for about 30 seconds. Add tomato sauce and using the same can add 2 cans of hot water and salt. Bring to a boil then add rice. Reduce the flame, cover, and stir occasionally.
