6 large english cucumbers
1/4 cup salt( to bring out cucumber juice)
4 large garlic cloves minced
2 capfuls vinegar
1large tub sour cream
Peel and slice thin the cucumbers into a large bowl.
Sprinkle each cucumber as its place into bowl with salt. Don't be afraid to add the salt. Just don't overdo it.The salt is needed to bring out the juice to soften cukes and to prevent weeping.
Cover and leave for about 30 minutes.
Squeeze out all the juice from the softened cucumbers. Place into a serving bowl.
Add the garlic cloves and toss gently.Then sprinkle all over with 2 capfuls of vinegar folding gently.
Add the tub of sourcream. Fold gently to prevent weeping. Sprinkle with paprika for decoration and chill for 1 hour before serving.
