Dietary guidance: v
1/2 cup melted margarine
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 cup flour (white or whole wheat)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup sliced toasted almonds
2 tbsp milk
1 pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 360 °F.
Line baking sheet with wax paper.
Mix melted margarine, oats, sugar, honey and vanilla.
Add flour, baking powder, almonds and salt.
Finally, add milk.
The dough should be creamy and sticky.
Place balls of dough on baking sheet and bake for 18-26 minutes. Less time results in chewy cookies, I prefer them golden brown and crunchy.
Let them cool and dig in. Makes about 16-18 cookies.
