4 ounce can chopped green chiles
1 chipotle chile, chopped (a pinch of powdered chipotle can be used)
2 cups chicken broth
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Put all of the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. I put it all in a medium pan and used my stick blender to puree it. Heat until hot, but not boiling.
As written the soup will be quite spicy. You can cut back on the chipotle for less heat.
