1 pair of Hungarian Kolbasz
8 medium sized potatoes quartered
2 large spanish onions
1 tbsp. xtra virgin oil
2 tsp. of Hot Hungarian Paprika
1/2 cup of water
2 tsp. salt
enough water to cover potatoes for boiling
Peel potatoes,quarter,rinse 3x with cold running tap water to prevent foaming. Boil on high with lid off. When potatoes are ready strain,cover and set aside.
Slice sausage into 2 inch pieces. Place in a large skillet with 1/2 cup water covered and steam the sausage till all the water is gone.Remove the sausage and place in potato pot.
Sautee the onions which you cut into rings in the skillet until transparent.
Take a large crock pot place the element on medium and add the onions you sauteed with the juices. Throw in your Hot Hungarian Paprika and stir it around.Add the 1/2 cup of water and stir.
Now gently add the potatoes and sausage slowly at a time. Once you've done that fold the potatoes underneath gently so that the paprika juice coats all the potatoes.Turn the element on simmer till ready to serve. If you prefer it you can use the Hot Hungarian Kolbasz(sausage) and the sweet hungarian paprika. I just make it this way because I like my potatoes spicy. Some prefer only the sausage spicy.
