Elvis Presley's Favorite Pound Cake

3 cups sugar
1 pound (4 sticks) butter, softened
7 eggs, room temperature
3 cups cake flour, sifted twice
1 cup heavy cream
2 tespoons vanilla


Butter and flour a 10" bundt pan
Cream together the sugar and the butter. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in half the flour and half the cream. Mix in the rest of the flour and the cream. Beat for at least five minutes. Mix in vanilla. Pour into pan. Place in cold oven and bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes to 70 minutes or until an uncooked spaghetti noodle placed in center of cake comes out clean. Remove and let cool for five minutes before removing from pan.
