Mincemeat cookie

3/4 cup margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg, beaten
2 3/4 cups pastry flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup thick sour milk
1/2 cup mincemeat


Cream together margarine, sugar and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Add egg. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with the sour milk. CHill. Roll thinly on lightly floured board. Cut into 2" rounds. Use a half teaspoon of mincemeat as filling and put together in pairs, moistening edge of under cookie. pinch together and place on oiled cookie sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.
