1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter

1/2 cup soft butter

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; set aside. Combine sugar with water and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat ans stir in semi-sweet chocolate pieces and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each each. Add nuts. Blend in flour mixture thoroughly. Spread in a well greased 7 x 11" pan. Bake at 325 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Immediately sprinkle the bourbon on top. Cool and frost.

Combine well until smooth. If a little too thick to spread, add a little cream or milk.
