White Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Good cookie recipes remind me of my favorite baker my fantastic mom! She always seemed to have the knack of coming up with some of the most delicious treats for our family growing up!
These are a delicious twist on traditional oatmeal cookies.

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners


1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups quick or old-fashioned oats
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups dried cherries


Preheat oven to 350. Combine, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon bowl and mix well. Beat butter or margarine, white sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract in large bowl. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats, cranberries, and white chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.
