1/4 cup Flour
4 tsp Chili Powder
1 Tbsp Crushed Red Pepper
1 Tbsp dried minced Onion
1 Tbsp dried minced Garlic
2 tsp Sugar
2 tsp ground Cumin
2 tsp dried Parsley
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp dried Basil
1/4 tsp ground Black Pepper
1 lb. Ground Hamburger (can omit or sub other meats)
1/2 Red Onion, diced
1/2 Green Pepper, diced
4 Tbsp Chili Seasoning, divided (see recipe above)
1 16-oz can Red Kidney Beans, drained
1 16-oz can Black Beans, drained
1 16-oz can White Navy Beans, drained
1 16-oz can Diced Tomatoes with juices
16-oz Tomato Sauce
1 cup Chicken Stock (can use veg stock)
SEASONING: Combine all ingredients. Store in an air-tight container.
In sautee pan, brown hamburger (salt & pepper to taste). While hamburger is browning, combine Beans, Tomatoes, Tomato Sauce, Chicken Stock & 2 Tbsp seasoning in a slow-cooker or large soup pot; stir & cover.
Once hamburger is half-way cooked, add diced onion and green pepper to hamburger and sautee. Once fully-cooked, season hamburger mixture with remaining 2 Tbsp chili seasoning. Let simmer for a few minutes to season, then add hamburger to bean mixture.
Cover and simmer for at least 1 hour on the stove...or on low all afternoon in a crock pot.
