Chocolate Crinkles

Ingredients

1 ¼ Cups butter softened
2 Cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
¾ cups cocoa powder (the darker the better)
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
Powdered sugar

Method

Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl.
Add eggs and vanilla, blend well.
Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt
Blend dry mix into creamed mix.
Roll into small balls, then into the powdered sugar.
Place onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 8 – 9 minutes (Do not overbake. Cookies will be soft and puff during baking, then flatten when cooled).
Cool on cookie sheet until set. About 2 minutes.
Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Makes about 4 dozen
