1 lb of sweet potatoes
1/2 cp butter
1 cp white sugar
1/2 cp milk or 1/2 and 1/2
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp good vanilla (madagascar)
1 tbsp of drambuie
1 pack of knox gelatin
1 9-inch graham cracker crust
1 9-inch graham cracker pie crust
Boil sweet potatoes with skin on about 40-50 minutes until done. Let cool, peel off skins.
Heat Oven to 350 degrees.
Break apart sweet potatoes in large bowl. Add butter and mix well with mixer. Stir in sugar, milk, eggs, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, drambuie and gelatin. Beat on medium speed until mixture in smooth.
Bake pie crust for about 10 minutes. Pour filling into pie crust. Sprinkle top with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Bake pie for 55-60 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let cool. Serve with cool whip.
