Bronzing powder

For dredging seafood or meat before quickly cooking. An alternative to blackening.

Ingredients

1 tsp salt (cut down to taste)
0.75 tsp sweet paprika
0.75 tsp onion powder
0.75 tsp dry mustard
0.5 tsp garlic powder
0.5 tsp white pepper
0.5 tsp ground cumin
0.5 tsp crushed basil
0.5 tsp crushed oregano
0.25 tsp black pepper
0.25 tsp crushed thyme

Method

Mix well; press scallops or other seafood/meats into mixture, top and bottom. Cook in olive oil.
