Ingredients

Ingredients Al charra beans
1 kg. (2# 3 oz) pervanos (macubaya) beans (pinto beans instead) soak overnight then medium heat
1 tsp. garlic
½ tsp. oil
1 package of bacon
4 kielbasa sausages; sliced & quartered (optional)
4 tomatoes (optional)
1 medium onion; chopped
1 jalapeno (optional); chopped
Cilantro (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste.


Method

Cook the beans as directed on the package along with the garlic.
In a separate pan, cook the bacon in the oil. Chop the bacon.
Add the sausage, tomatoes, onion, and jalapeno. Cook till tender.
Mix in the cooked beans.
Add the cilantro, salt and pepper.
