Banana Bread

My grandmother's recipe, so amazing!

Preparation time: 20-30 min
Cooking time: one hour

Serves: 4-6

Dietary guidance: v 


- 1.5 cups of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of buttermilk (or 1/2 cup of milk with
1/2 tablespoon of white vinegar)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 or 3 over ripe (skin turned mostly brown)
bananas mashed
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda

Utensils: Electric mixer, Bread Pan



1. Cream sugar and butter

2. Add eggs and mix well

3. Add buttermilk, vanilla, and bananas (mix well)

4. In a separate bowl mix flour and baking soda

5. Add dry ingredients to banana mixture

6. Butter and/or flour the bread pan

7. Bake in the oven for one hour or until cake
tester comes out clean

Tip: This recipe works well as muffins. To bake as muffins, bake at the same temperature but for only 30 minutes.
