Easter ducks

This was a recipe that my mother used and was asked to make on a local TV cooking show that aired during the news called Marge Mariner's home times.

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners


1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup flour


combine all ingredients. Use a teaspoon to form the head in the shape of a flattened teardrop. Do the same with a tablespoon for the body. Insert cloves into head for the eyes. bake separate on ungreased baking sheet at 350 degrees until lighly browned. Secure head to body with a dab of icing.
