Three Bean Sickie Soup

1 can pinto beans, drained
1 can great northern beans, drained
1 can black beans in seasoned sauce
1 quart No Chicken Broth or vegetable stock
1/4 cup red wine
1 tsp gravy master
1/2 tbs tomato paste
1-2 tbs minced garlic
1 whole onion, diced fine
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 carrot, diced
1 tsp gravy master
1/2 tbs tomato paste
1-2 tbs dried oregano
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp dried Italian herbs
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried cilantro
1/2 tsp dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Few dashes of hot sauce (optional)


Caramelize the onion in olive oil or butter until deep brown over low heat. Increase heat to medium. Add the other veggies and saute a few minutes until slightly tender. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until everything is cooked through.
If you wish, puree a bit of the soup in the blender (or with an immersion blender) for a creamer consistency.
