Asparagus Rafts

Ingredients

1 bunch of thick asparagus
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 clove of garlic, minced
5-inch skewers (8)

Method

Combine soy sauce, sesame oil and garlic in a small bowl and whisk together. Meanwhile, wash the asparagus and chop off the bottom 2 inches. Put one skewer through five asparagus below the leafy section and one about one inch from the bottom to get a raft look. Repeat for all of the asparagus, trying to get five on each skewer. Brush the sauce on both sides of the rafts. Grill 3 minutes per side and serve with the asparagus on the skewers for a neat presentation.
