Blackcurrant Jam (or Jelly if you're Colonial)

You can use any fruit for this, but if your fruit doesn't contain much pectin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pectin) make sure you use jam sugar.

This is enough to make 5lb of Jam

Ingredients

1lb 5oz Fruit
2lb 10oz Sugar
1 pint Water

Method

Cook Fruit and Water till soft, about 20mins, then add sugar and boil till set, about 10mins

You can test it by spooning out a bit, then push your fingernail through it on the spoon. It's ready when it crinkles.
