Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
4 ounces shelled, chopped hazelnuts
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, melted
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1/2 split vanilla bean or 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Add hazelnuts to the bowl of a food processor. Process them until they become a smooth peanut butter-like consistency. Add the melted chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar and vanilla. Process until smooth and well-mixed. Add vegetable oil a bit at a time, and pulse to a smooth, spreadable consistency. Store in a tightly sealed glass jar and use as desired.
