Gingerbread

Ingredients

8oz Self Raising Flour
1tsp Mixed Spice
1Tbsp Ground Ginger
Pinch of Salt
2oz Sultanas
1½oz Soft Brown Sugar
1 Egg
¼pt Milk
4oz Marg
4Tbsp Golden Syrup
2Tbsp Honey
2Tbsp Treacle

Method

Preheat oven to GM4 350°F 170°C
Mix together the dry ingredients
Melt Marg, Milk, Syrup, Honey and Treacle in a pan, stirring till smooth
Beat the Egg into dry ingredients then stir in the wet mix
Load into a lined 2lb Loaf Tin and bake for 45 mins.
