Slow Carb Chilli

My chilli recipe for Tim Feriss' Slow Carb Diet, from the Four Hour Body

Preparation time: 10mins
Cooking time: 1hr

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
Serves: 4


1 Scotch Bonnet Chilli (chopped)
4 Birds-eye Chillies (chopped)
2 Jalapeno Chillies (chopped)
2 Hungarian Hot Wax Chillies (chopped)
1 Red Onion (chopped)
4 Cloves Garlic (crushed)
800g Lean Steak Mince
2 tins Red Kidney Beans (washed)
1 tin Chopped Tomatoes
1 glass Red Wine


Dry fry the mince until browned
Add the Garlic, Chillies and Onion and cook for 5mins
Add the Beans, Tomatoes and Wine, then fill one of the empty tins with water and add that
Simmer until reduced to a thick and beautiful Chilli
