Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
1 3/4 c. medium egg noodles, uncooked
2 c. water
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 tsp. garlic-pepper blend spice
1 (12 oz) jar beef gravy
1 (2.5 oz) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 c. light sour cream
Bring water to a boil in medium saucepan. ADD the noodles; cook 6-8 minutes or until tender. DO NOT BOIL.
Meanwhile, in medium skillet, cook ground beef and garlic-pepper blend over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until browned and thoroughly cooked. Drain off fat.
Back to the saucepan where the noodles were cooked, add the ground beef, gravy, mushrooms and sour cream; cook until thoroughly heated. If desired sprinkle individual servings with chopped fresh parsley.
YIELD: 4 (1 1/4 cup) servings
