Dietary guidance: v v d
beans, well cooked, 2 cans or 4 cups
onions, 2 medium, quartered
rolled oats, 1 c.
add-in: 1 cup mashed potatoes OR cooked oatmeal OR short-grain rice OR tofu OR 1/2 cup miso
chili powder or spice mix, 1 tbsp
salt and pepper
liquid (soy/almond milk, stock, water, ketchup)
1. Combine all in food processor, pulse to chunky but not pureed, adding liquid to make moist but not wet. Let rest a few minutes.
2. With wet hands, shape into patties and let rest. Oil and heat skillet on medium. Cook to brown, about 5 min each side.
