Viennese Cream Cheese Brownie

1-8oz. cream cheese (softened)
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
¼ tsp. almond extract

2 squares unsweetened chocolate
½ cup butter

2 eggs
1 cup sugar
¾ cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla

*Sliced almonds*


Whip the first 4 ingredients together and set aside.
Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler. Cool and then add the next 6 ingredients.Put ½ chocolate batter on the bottom of 8x8 cake pan. Spread cream cheese batter on top. Dot with remaining chocolate mixture and either spread or swirl. Top with almonds.Chill well.
