Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
Dietary guidance: v
1/4 bag shredded coconut
1 bag choc chips
1 stick butter
1 small can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
most of a sleeve of graham crackers (sleeve= 1/2 box)
8oz extremely heavy whipping cream
5T powdered nonfat milk
1 C shaved almonds (walnuts ok too, I bet)
crush the crackers into 9x11 baking dish.
Drizzle with butter, mix & mash to compact like pie crust.
Mix chocolate, condensed milk, almonds, cream, powdered milk & spread on.
coconut on top, pressing kind of hard so it gets stuck to the layer beneath.
350 for an hour, watching closely to remove when brown.
Mine was too soft, stiffened in the fridge and dried out by turning the heat off & leaving in the oven over night. You might try less cream... I also put some almonds in the graham cracker crust, and a little honey. ...think that was superfluous.
