Mojito Marinade

1/2 small sweet onion
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup(s) mint, fresh
1/4 cup(s) rum
1 tablespoon lime zest
1/2 cup(s) lime juice
3 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoon oil, canola
1 tablespoon salt, Kosher


1.Place onion, garlic, mint, rum, lime zest, lime juice, honey, oil and salt in a food processor. Pulse until the shallots are finely chopped.

2. Pour the marinade into a shallow baking dish or 1-gallon sealable plastic bag for marinating 1 to 2 pounds (4 to 8 servings) of your chosen protein.
