Curry sauce

Basic curry sauce, similar to a "chip shop style" one, or what you might find in a 99p Chicken curry frozen meal.

Preparation time: 10mins
Cooking time: 5mins

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
Serves: 2 - 4


Bisto Chicken Gravy Granules
Curry Powder
whole Milk (cows milk)
freshly boiled water

OPTIONAL (to make into a full curry):
Chopped Onion
Strips of Chicken Breast
Long Grain Rice


Stick 3 spoonfuls of the gravy granules into a mug
Add a dash of the curry powder
Pour in some milk (no more than enough to quarter fill the mug)
Stir it up until it looks like a milky mug of tea
Pour in the boiling water, and continue stirring.

Put some butter into a Frying pan / Wok / medium sauce pan.... perhaps one you've already had the onion + chicken breast cooking in.

Pour in the mugful of sauce mix, crank up the heat, and keep stirring until it feels thick enough.
