Shrimp with confetti Rice Packets

This is a packet recipe that can be cooked on the grill or in the oven! I almost double the amount of spices in the recipe but I would call my family "heavy spicers!"

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 8 min grill/15 min oven

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
Serves: 4


4 sheets 12x18 inches each Renolds Wrap Heavy Duty foil
1 pound peeled and deveined medium uncooked shrimp
1 1/2 cups instant rice uncooked
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/3 cup teriyaki maranade and sauce
1/4 cup sliced green onions
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 TBSP sliced almonds


Preheat grill to medium high or oven to 450F. Combine shrimp, rice, water, carrots, teriyaki marinade, green onions, sesame oil, and garlic powder in a large bowl.

Center one-fourth of shrimp mixture on each sheet of heavy duty foil.

Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and ends to seal packet, leaving room inside. Repeat to make four packets.

Grill 6-8 minutes in a covered grill or bake 15-18 minutes on a cookie sheet in the oven. Sprinkle with almonds and additional teriyaki sauce before serving if desired.
