Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 t. garlic powder
l lb. bacon
large jalapeno peppers (1 for each slice of bacon-about 15)
Stir together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and a little ranch dressing-just enough to make it easy to spread. Stir in the garlic pqwder.
Cut the bacon slices in half. Cut the peppers in half and remove seeds. Spoon some of the cheese mixture into each jalapeno half, wrap with a half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Arrange on a broiler pan.
Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven until bacon is no longer pink and beginning to brown, about 20 minutes.
