Dietary guidance: v
1 cup Amaretto Liquer
1 big peel of lemon (no white)
1/2 cup caster sugar
2 Tablespoons Almond Essence
1 Litre Vanilla Ice cream base (Frozen or home-made)
1. Mix amaretto, lemon peel, caster sugar and almond essence in a pot. Bring to the boil, and simmer for 5 min untill the alcohol is gone from the amaretto. You could flambe it too, to get the same effect. Strain and cool in a fridge
2. Mix with vanilla ice cream base- either softened store-bought or homemade. Churn and mix, then freeze until hardened.
