Five-Spice Frozen Yogurt with Chocolate Syrup

Frozen Yogurt:
2 cups (500 ml) low-fat frozen vanilla yogurt
Optional - 2 Tbsp (30 ml) brandy
½ tsp (2.5 ml) VE Chinese Five-Spice
½ tsp (2.5 ml) VE Vanilla Extract

Chocolate Sauce:
1/3 cup (80 ml) sugar
1/3 cup (80 ml) water
¼ cup (60 ml) VE Pure Cocoa


1. Allow frozen vanilla yogurt to thaw slightly. Combine all frozen yogurt ingredients, blending well. Spoon into a container and freeze until firm.

2. Prepare chocolate sauce by dissolving sugar in water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes.

3. Reduce heat to medium-low and whisk in VE Pure Cocoa. Use immediately or cool and store in the refrigerator.

4. Scoop frozen yogurt into individual serving dishes and drizzle with prepared chocolate sauce.
