Wacky Cake

This is a delicious cake using no eggs or milk. It is a very moist cake and great for someone with food allergies. I found this recipe at allrecipes several months ago but I did revise it slightly.

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
6 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup water
1 to 2 tablespoon herseys liquid syrup


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. sift flour, sugar, salt, soda and cocoa together into an 8 x 8 inch ungreased cake pan. Make 4 depressions. Pour oil into one well, vinegar into second, vanilla into third well and liquid syrup into another. Pour water all over and stir well with fork but do not over mix.
3. bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until tooth pick inserted comes out clean. cool and frost with favorite icing
