Roasted Fall Beets with Orange Oil & Allspice

Ingredients

6 beets, small, scrubbed and trimmed, leave whole
1 T. Orange fused extra virgin olive oil
1/2 t. allspice berries, crushed
sea salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste

Method

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Spread beets on sheet, roast for 1 hour or until tender.
Allow to cool enough to hold. Peel, slice.
Drizzle with olive oil. Crush allspice berries with a pan or pestle, add to beets. Season with salt and pepper. K.I.S.S.
