Difficulty: Easy - for beginners

2 cans of peach slices in heavy syrup
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1-1/2 cups self rising flour
1-1/2 cups milk
Ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt stick of butter in your pan in the oven. Mix flour, sugar and milk slowly to prevent clumping. Pour mixture over the melted butter, do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup. Sprinkle top with cinnamon. Batter will rise to the top during baking. Bake for 30-45 min. Serve with vanilla ice cream!!!

If you want to use real peaches, 4 cups of peeled sliced peaches, 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 min. Remove from heat to cool and use in place of canned peaches.

I use the McCormick cinnamon grinder and just grind over the top until it looks good to me, probably 1/2-3/4 tsp total I would guess.
