Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
3 c sugar
1 c vegetable oil
4 eggs, beaten
1 can (16 oz) pumpkin
3 1/2 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
2/3 c water
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream together sugar and oil. Add eggs and pumpkin. Mix well.
Sift together all dry ingredients.
Alternate adding dry mixture and water into pumpkin mixture, stirring well between each addition to mix well. Mix until well-blended.
Grease and flour two bread loaf pans.
Divide mixture in half and pour into each prepared pan.
Bake at 350 for 90 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before removing from hot pans to cooling rack.
