500g rolled oats
250g caster sugar
1 tbsp golden syrup
250g mixed nuts/seeds/dried fruit (to taste)
Preheat oven to gas mark 6.
Mix the sugar, butter and golden syrup over gentle heat until melted. Add oats and nuts and mix well.
Pour mixture into a greased baking tray, and put in oven (gas mark 6ish) for 30mins or until golden brown.
Slice into flapjacks when still warm.
