Chicken -n- dumplings

1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tsp sugar
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp basil
1 pgk (10 oz) frozen peas
1/2 cup flour
4 cup cubed chicken, cooked
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cup buttermilk biscuit mix
2 tsp basil
2/3 cup milk


in large sauce pan saute onion, garlic in butter until tender. add flout, sugar, salt, pepper and broth; bring to a boil. cook and stir for 1 min. reduce heat. add peas and cook for 5 min. stir in chicken. our into a greased 9x13 baking dish. for dumplings, combine bisucuit mix and bail in a bowl. stir in milk with fork unitl moistened. bake uncoverd @ 350 for 30 min. cover and bake 10 min. more until dumplings are done.
