Pecan Pie (from Betty Crocker New Cookbook)

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners


Pastry for 9-Inch One-Crust Pie (I use the chilled Pillsbury ones you unroll)
2/3 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup of Butter (melted)
1 Cup Corn Syrup (I used white Karo)
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 Large Eggs
1 Cup pecan halves or broken pecans (I use just a little more)


Heat oven to 375
Beat Sugar, Butter, Corn Syrup, Salt, Eggs in medium bowl with a whisk or hand mixer until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into shell.
Bake 40-50 min or until center is set

As it cools it will set
